The dimension of the Kyros MID7015 is 7.5 x 4.75 x 0.48 inches, hence it is considered as a mid-size tablet. It comes with a stylus pen for easier control, but the screen works so well that you can select or scroll using your fingertips. The tablet is also equipped with a USB 2.0 slot, HDMI slot, earphone/headphone socket, and a microSD slot.
The Kyros MID7015 uses a Telechips TCC8092 800 Mhz processor as its CPU. It comes with a 256 MB of RAM and 4 GB built in memory. The memory is expandable up to 16 GB using a microSD card. It runs Google's Android 2.1 Eclair operating system, which is not a typical choice for tablet PCs. However, this software supports Flash that allows you to watch online videos and play online games.
What people concern the most about this tablet PC is its performance. It is true that the touch screen doesn't have high sensitivity, but its performance is better than average. The only problem is when you are selecting small links on the web browser. You can't pinch your fingers to zoom in on the web pages, so you must use the stylus or your fingernail. When it comes to loading websites, it is slower than other tablets. It also doesn't run contents automatically. When you connect it to a desktop or laptop via USB, it won't ask you whether you want to charge it or mount the hard drive. You have to click the menu first and select the options yourself.
Overall, it can be said that the new Coby Kyros MID7015 is a decent tablet PC for its price. Its performance and design are good enough. The touch screen has some weaknesses but the software's ability to support Flash makes this tablet more special.
